Team visits local high school Tuesday
EDMONTON - Several members of the Edmonton Energy are going back to high school -- but only for awhile.
Paul Sir, coach and general manager of the International Basketball League team, announced today that Energy players will start their visit to Edmonton Christian High School (14304-109a Avenue) on Tuesday afternoon (May 19) at 2:30.
The invitation was extended by Principal Rob Hofstede and athletic director Rick Pease, a former star player in the CIS.
"We’re hoping to have as many students as possible involved with us," Sir said. "We’ll do some interactive things to keep the youngsters involved.”
"This will be the first school visit for us. We hope it will be the first of many in this season and future seasons."
The Energy has four wins and one loss in the IBL this season.
