Energy beat Vancouver 129-100 to clinch spot in semi finals

 

LANGLEY, BC - The Edmonton Energy clinched the best record in the IBL and the number one seed in the upcoming IBL Playoffs by soundly defeating the Vancouver Titans 129-100 Monday night in the beautiful new Langley Events Centre.

The Energy started strong and controlled throughout the game. Steve Sir led seven Energy players in double figures with 23 points and 9 rebounds while Will Funn added to his Triple-Double collection with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. James Hudson led the Titans with 26 points.

“The team was focused for 48 minutes on achieving their goal tonight,” Energy Head Coach Paul Sir reflected after the game. “We’re proud of the accomplishment of winning the league regular season title but are now setting our sites on competing for the league championship,” said Sir.

The Energy has a first round bye and will play in the semi-finals on Thursday in Monroe, WA.
