The Energy came out of the gates slow tonight and found themselves in a 13 point hole heading into the second quarter.  Hot shooting by the Tide, combined with a stingy zone defence threw the Energy off.

Keyed by Michael Linklater’s defensive effort the Energy were able to draw even mid way through the second quarter.  Steve Sir and Benson Callier carried the scoring load in the early with Dave Patten chipping in some key buckets to help the Energy take a 58-54 halftime lead.

The Energy came out strong in the third quarter pushing their lead to double digits.  The Tide fought their way back in with several deep 3’s from Leonard White.

Lee Scruggs held down the fort defensively late in the third with 3 key blocked shots.  Skouson Harker found his shooting touch in the second half after struggling in the first and had 12 in the latter frame.

The Energy finished up with a 124-100 win.
