The Energy won 143-125 in their final road game contest to improve their record to 10-4.
The Energy came out fast and focused. Their 43-30 first quarter lead was extended to 78-58 at halftime. The Energy led by as much as 30 before a late 4th quarter Knight rally cut it to 18.
The Energy had several outstanding performances. Steve Sir led all sorers with 36 points on 9 three pointers. Will Funn had his second consecutive triple double with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 15 assists. Benson Callier had 23 points and 10 rebounds, Rashaun Broadus had 20 points, 6 boards and 10 assists. The big men were major contributors with Lee Scruggs 17 points while Russ Hicks continued his tough play with 13 points, 7 boards and 4 blocks.
’It was a great ending to a long road trip,’ Coach Sir reflected. ’We have a lot to build on. The team played very well and are developing great chemistry. We are excited to get back to Edmonton and prepare for Yamhill next weekend.’
The Energy are at the U of A Main Gym next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
