Too Little Too LateBack To All News | Previous Thread | Next Thread In a back and forth affair tonight the Energy fell to the Lightning 136-133.
The Lightning came out with something to prove after taking a 40 loss the night before and prove themselves they did. The Lightning held a double digit lead for a good portion of the first half before the Energy put in a solid effort in the final 5 minutes of the 2nd quarter to tie the game up at 60 going into the halftime break.
A strong start in the 3rd gave the a Energy double digit lead for a brief time in the period but the Lightning refused to go away with great efforts from PG Drew Housman and SG Billy Knight with 28 and 33 respectively.
The game came down to the final 10 seconds where Rashaun Broadus attempted a 3 which was partially blocked out of bounds leaving 1.1 seconds for Steve Sir to get the final look which came up just a hair short from forcing overtime.
The Energy were lead by Steve Sir with 27 points and the finest performance of the season from Skouson Harker who recorded a double double with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
Dave Patten contributed an efficient 22 points and Will Funn was able to set up his teammates 15 times.
A special thank-you tonight to Liberty Security for being our game sponsor, and Supreme Steel as our weekend sponsor.
