The Energy finished the regular season in style with a 146-131 win, taking 2 of 3 from the Los Angeles Lightning and pushing their record to 14-6, good for 3rd place in the IBL’s Continental Division.

The Energy came out of the gates hard a took and early 20-4 lead, but 16 straight points from the Lightning’s Billy Knight cut the lead to 34-26 at the end of the first quarter.

A late 2nd quarter push by the Energy saw them take a 71-58 lead into the halftime recess.

Using the momentum they established late in the 2nd the Energy pushed the margin to 20 half way through the 3rd.  LA’s Billy Knight continued to have the hot hand and kept the Lightning in it all night finishing with 47 points.

The Energy never let the Lightning get closer than 5 to finish out the 15 point win.

Steve Sir lead the Energy with 33 points despite foul trouble early in the first half and early in the 3rd.  Skouson Harker carried forward his strong performance from Saturday and posted back to back double doubles with 25 points and 10 rebounds on Sunday.  Will Funn also hit double figures in two categories with 22 points and a season high 16 assists.
